Work with CESPAD

Partner with us

CESPAD works alongside county governments, national institutions, research bodies and international partners to deliver water governance, climate resilience and institutional strengthening outcomes across Kenya. Here's how to work with us.

Ways to partner

Four ways to work with CESPAD

Our partnership work spans four areas, aligned to our programme focus on Integrated Water Resources Management, gender-inclusive water governance, climate-resilient food security, and institutional strengthening.

County partnerships

County government partnerships

We already work alongside 25+ county governments in Kenya. We're open to formal partnerships with additional counties on:

  • Water resource governance frameworks aligned to the Kenya Constitution 2010 and Vision 2030
  • Capacity building for county water offices and WRUAs
  • Joint monitoring and evidence-based decision-making systems
Consortium development

Consortium & coalition building

CESPAD has co-led multi-partner initiatives (including with WWF Kenya) and welcomes new consortium opportunities that combine local implementation strength with international reach on:

  • Water-climate-food-energy nexus programming
  • Joint fundraising and donor-aligned consortium bids
  • Shared learning and knowledge-management platforms
Technical assistance

Technical assistance

Drawing on our organisational development and IWRM expertise, we provide technical support to institutions and community structures on:

  • Water Resource Users Association (WRUA) institutional strengthening
  • Gender mainstreaming in water governance policy and practice
  • Climate-resilient agricultural and natural resource management practices
Research collaborations

Research & evidence collaborations

We're building our evidence base through documented case studies and welcome research partnerships that support:

  • Evidence-based policy influence on water and environmental governance
  • Joint research on gender, climate and water-conflict dynamics
  • Adaptive learning systems that feed programme design
